About us
If you enjoyed Cliff House at Seaview, our pride and joy guest house in New Hampshire, I know you will like Tropic House at Estero, Florida, a new concept in bed and breakfasts. Tropic House is in Estero, a place that offers the best location if you want an easy way to visit all of our beautiful beaches during one stay in Southwest Florida. Believe me, you can spend a day each and visit Captiva, Sanibel, Bunch Beach, Fort Myers Beach, Bonita Beach, Vanderbilt Beach and Naples and love it. The beaches are like the rim of a wheel and its hub is Estero, the center of the universe, at least that what the founders of Estero thought many years ago. Estero was a sleepy little town between Naples and Fort Myers that John D. MacDonald, one of my favorite mystery writer wrote about, Travis comes right after Perry. Well the sleepy town woke up, we have now close by three colleges and two universities, which will soon rival the University of Florida and Notre Dame. Who would have believed, Estero would have three major league spring training stadiums within 10 miles and easy to reach, not one but three. It seems that our good fortune comes in three’s, Estero has now three giant shopping malls within four miles, Town Center, Coconut Point, and Miramar, any one of these are as big as a medium size northern city. It would be impossible to visit all the shops, stores, restaurants, night clubs and free outdoor entertainment offered by these malls in one winter season, not even in three seasons. We are true blessed and wish to share this wonderful cultural experience with you.
Our family is trying to provide for you a quiet interlude in an inexpensive nature setting which we call Tropic House, a different bed and breakfast guest house inn. I hope you will like us, if not; there is the Hyatt within two miles. We are close to the airport and would be willing to pick you up or drop you off. Please check our rates found elsewhere on this site.
